2017 Comicpalooza Registration is Live

Innovation Spark is proud to announce that registration is now open for the 2017 Comicpalooza Maker Space at the George R Brown Convention Center – May 12th to 14th, 2017.

The time is now for you to start preparing for this event and we are looking to get everyone signed up as early as possible this year. To facilitate the process, we have created a new process for purchasing your space. Please follow the below link to purchase your maker space at Comicpalooza for 2017.

The Comicpalooza event has a registration deadline of April 15, 2017, register early for the event, as we have limited space, and all spaces will be allocated on a first come, first serve basis.  This event being a Comic conference, we would love to see more interesting themes from the makers that fit in with the culture and nature of the event. The registration will be a 2 part process, the first will be to purchase your space on our shopify site, this will reserve a spot for you at the event.  The second part will require us to contact you and gather all the relevant information about you and your space requirements. 

Please note the following for each space, there will be a $300 fee for new Exhibitors that were not at the 2016 Comicpalooza event.  If you participated in the 2016 Event, the fee will be $100.00.   After you register, we will provide you with a registration code to sell Comicpalooza tickets via your marketing channels. If an exhibitor sells 6 Comicpalooza tickets using their code, we will refund the fee that was paid.

Each 10×10 booth slot will come with the following:

  • 1 – 8’ Table Draped
  • 3’ Pipe and Drape exterior
  • 2 Chairs
  • 2 – 3 Day Exhibitor Passes
  • A Single Outlet
  • Discounts on Additional Exhibitor Passes

Exhibitor’s are responsible for all power connections (Extension Cords, etc)

Internet is not included and can be purchased for an additional per device fee during the event.

Exhibitors can submit for Panels / Workshops at no additional fee. All will be reviewed and approved prior to the event. No guarantee of space. All submissions must be submitted by April 1, 2017.

Houston Maker Faire – Call to Makers

If you want to connect with the energy and inspiration of Maker Faire, while at the same time doing something very important for the future of the Houston metro area, come join us as an exhibitor at Houston Mini Maker Faire. We will schedule in-person and video-chat info sessions all around Houston to be sure you’re fully prepared for this amazing experience, and you can always ask questions. Let us help you make it happen! We recommend you sign up as early as possible to take advantage of our new program through which you can cover your expenses through advance ticket sales.

This year we take another leap forward for Houston as we grow to a 2-day event (11/12-13/2016) and increase our exhibit area at the George R. Brown Convention Center by 50%. Our plan is to grow this to be a leading event for Houston, Texas, the US and the world — but we will always value and support our individual exhibitors and small teams. Come help us build this amazing story together!

We’re Maker Faire so we love to show all things creative, informative, inventive and innovative! We will accept any exhibit within Maker Faire guidelines (not sure? — just ask), but here are some special focus areas for 2016 — if you can help us show and share exhibits in these areas, please let us know:

  • Cool Tech: we plan to showcase a broad high-impact array of tech the Maker Movement is using and creating. The very latest tech tools and toys like: VR, AR, Internet of Things, drones (UAVs), aerospace, gaming, big data, AI, robotics, etc. Kickstarters, startups and inventions belong here too.
  • Living: medical technology, sustainability, food sourcing innovation, hydroponics, aquaponics, bio science, DIY bio, tiny homes, alternative housing, green homes, custom CNC home accessories, etc.
  • Cause Champions: do you have a nonprofit cause that needs help in innovation or technology to make a breakthrough? We invite you to exhibit so you can get Makers and attendees involved and see how “Houston Makes A Difference”!

Comicpalooza Maker Spaces Now Open for Registration.

Makers, it is with great pride that Innovation Spark Announces that registration is now open for the 2016 Comicpalooza Maker Space at the George R Brown Convention Center – June 17th to 19th, 2016.

The time is now for you to start preparing for this event and we are looking to get everyone signed up as early as possible this year. To facilitate the process, we have created a registration page on our website to allow you to submit the details of your spot.

The Comicpalooza event has a registration deadline of May 1, 2016, register early for the event, as we have limited space, and all spaces will be allocated on the basis of timeliness and type of display proposed.  This event being a Comic conference, we would love to see some interesting themes from the makers that fit in with the culture and nature of the event. The registration will be a 2 part process, the first will be to register on the Innovation Spark site, this will reserve a spot for you at the event and to provide us with the information about your display, and any special requirements you may need for your space.  The second part is to register on the Comicpalooza  website, for this, we will send you details on how to register as well as a Registration Code to use during the process.  

To be able to register, you will first have to signup for an account on the site, you will then receive an email with your login information, which will allow you to book your booth.

Fill in the relevant information. It is important to note that for each space, there will be a $100 fee for new Exhibitors that were not at the 2015 Comicpalooza event.  If you participated in the 2015 Event, this fee will be waived. To get your promotion code, please register on the Innovation Spark site and we will provide you with the appropriate promotion code, once your exhibit is approved.

No Internet Included, this can be purchased for an additional per device fee from Smart City Internet during the event.

Exhibitors can submit for Panels / Workshops at no additional fee. All will be reviewed and approved prior to the event. No guarantee of space. These must be submitted by April 25, 2016.

Additional passes can be purchased at the exhibitor discounted rate of $30.
